A glacier and a check ride

My first time on a glacier!!

Dear Ruth the Van,

Mom was super excited today, she said she got to fly to a glacier with dad and some people he works with. Sounds super cold to me. She said it was the coolest thing she’s ever done……surely when she said that, she wasn’t thinking about all the awesome time she’s spent with me.

The snow is mostly melted off the roads, and the mud is mostly dried up, but we are both still really needing a bath. I heard dad say that it’s just going to get dusty now, so I’m hoping they just give up on giving us baths!!

Dad passed his part 135 check ride this week, I don’t know what all of that means, but he said he got to fly groups of people around to look at the mountains, and he was super excited about it. I’m not really into flying, but it makes dad happy, and the mountains look cool.

Mom and dad got invited to a pilot bonfire this week. Everyone there wanted to meet me (of course), and they all said you looked super cool (duh!). I was glad I got to go visit everyone and let them pet me. I did my best to get some of their hotdogs, but mom wouldn’t let anyone share with me.

    Wow Maverick. These are some of the coolest pictures yet. Your mom and dad look awesome in their picture. Grandpa Ray and I are so excited you got to visit with mom and dad’s friends. Yea for your dad passing hie flight test. The people that get to fly with him will get to see so many beautiful places. So glad the snow is finally melting some. Hey, when you get that bath it will feel so good. Roy the cat says meow (hi) and grandpa Ray and I send our love to you and your mom and dad.

    I hear you on baths: had three in 2 weeks. Mom hates me, I think, but it could be the rolling in turkey poop. Hot dogs are tubular bacon! Hoomans and their food restrictions: Dog gotta’ eat!

    The images your mom shared made Dad holler out. Thought he found my stash. What a great adventure you all are on. Ruth is amazing. Dad tells Mom your parents are really something. I think that is good. (It is!)

    Here’s to the end of Mud Season!
