The Alcan

Dawson Creek – the start of the Alcan

Dear Mom,

There was a lot of driving today, and we finally made it to the Alaska – Canadian Highway! Dad kept wanting me to pose for a photo, but I just didn’t feel like having my picture taken.

Ruth the Van has been super cold, I think she’s finally thawing out some with the sunshine. Thankfully we have a heater that has been keeping us nice and toasty inside.

We are over 1/2 way to Alaska, and are excited to see you at the end of the week!!

Love from the Alcan,

Maverick

  1. Maverick , we are on a different agenda. I’m rigged with camper in tow for SnF to FL in the morning..
Maybe an organizational meeting might be in order before next year!

  3. Dear Mav –

It does look c-o-l-d! My dad lets me help drive and then pics are okay. Alcan Highway sign is awesome. Were there other dogs there?

I asked Dad if there are squirrels? Raccoons? Deer? He said probably, but think bigger: bears, moose, and elk. I asked him if dogs can chase them, too?
He said once. I didn’t get why only once. I don’t get my hooman sometimes.

Ruth is looking good! Tell your Dad hello!

    Milkbones,

    Buddy

PS – Is Ruth spooning with that diesel to stay warm?
