Dear Mom,
It was cold in the camp site this morning. I don’t understand why the ground is all white and frozen, but I’m not sitting on it any more, so I learned how to get on top of the picnic table. 🙂
We saw some really weird tall dogs today (moose) and lots of Buffalo. The mountains have been really pretty.
Dad said we are less than 1000 miles from picking you up.

Dear Maverick,I am loving the bed your mother gave me that was too small for you. I sleep on it everyday. It keeps me warm and cozy. Make sure you keep those paws dry and warm. Dear Mav – It does look cold! That table idea is smart – I’ll try that, too. I have never SEEN a buffalo but have TASTED one. Dad said they can be ill-mannered and would stomp and chase me. Tasting is better, I guess. The images are fantastic! Did your Dad hang a Hixson Aviation Sign in the forest? Thanks for sharing your journey. Dad said that Mom flies out tomorrow! Yea! Hey Mav! It looks like you’re having a great time out there! I’m hoping I get to come see you this summer sometime. My mom says she doesn’t like the white stuff so we have to “wait” – my (NOT) favorite word.
I do get to take a small trip today to bring your mom to the airport! I’ll send some cookies in her carry-on! 😉
