Snow

Dear Ruth the Van,

So much for that bath you got, all this snow means you may need another bath soon. It looked cold when you drove away this morning to take dad to work. I’m glad mom and I got to stay behind in the cabin.

Mom took me for a walk today, and it was super slippery…she even fell once while we were walking. She’s ok, and said that’s what we should expect in Alaska.

I stayed close to the heater today while mom worked. She said the internet is great, and people at work couldn’t even tell that she’s all the way in Alaska.

Stay warm!

Mav

Flying details for the pilots –

Tom is going to be flying the turbine (speedy) beaver. It’s called the speedy beaver because it’s limited to 122 knots while the otter is limited to 115 knots. He’s had two days of training, and got to ride along on a flight yesterday. Weather has kept him from getting to fly so far.

  1. Love the pictures, Aby
, glad you’re ok from the fall.
Maverick, remind Dad to keep wings level and the horizon over the nose.

  2. Dear Mav –

It looks cold again and that heater must be g-r-e-a-t! Is that Your Mom shoveling snow? Like an incidental 6 inches of overnight fluff? Dad said she hadn’t really mentioned that would be a thing. Mom just shivered.

The images are wonderful, Dad said. He was confused about the planes’ top speeds and all. And their funny animal names. He laughs at stuff sometimes. And Mom says she’s just not sure what is wrong with him.

We’re all very proud you and The Great Adventure. Can’t wait to see Pilot Tom in action!

    Milk Bones!
