Maverick and Ruth

Dear Ruth the Van,

Mom said we’ve been in Alaska for an entire week now. She said work is good and the internet works well for video calls, all I know is that she keeps showing me sleeping to people on video calls.

Dad said he loves his job so far. He got to fly to Lake Clark National Park this week, and had a few other flights. He said it’s so pretty here he’s not sure he can fly anywhere else…..don’t worry, he said we are still planning to go home at the end of the summer.

Since mom and dad haven’t gotten a second car, I’m glad we still get to drive you around when we take dad to work or drive around when he’s done for the day. I think they go fun places and leave me inside the van, but while they are gone I get to bark at the dogs in the cars next to me.

I got to meet my neighbor dog today, her name is Isabelle and she’s brown and white like me (German short haired pointer). She was really nice.

It’s snowed about 12 inches this week and has been snowing more today. I tried to walk up into a snowbank to go potty and fell in a little. Hopefully this stuff melts soon.
