Covid, bath day, and breakup season

Dear Ruth the Van,

Sorry it’s been a while since I’ve written, but I’ve been taking care of mom and dad. They both got Covid, so we were all stuck in the house together for a while….I’m glad I was here to nurse them back to health. They said they are feeling better than ever.

Sadly, mom and dad were feeling well enough for us both to get a bath. Mom said it was about time to wash all the dirt off of me…..I don’t see what the problem was, but I do get more pets when I’m clean, so that’s a bonus.

We are almost finished with breakup season here. That’s when all the ice melts and break up and flow down the rivers. It’s nice to be outside more and enjoy the sunshine and warm weather. Mom said the mosquitos are starting to come out, but that’s not stopping us yet.

    So cool you are there to take care of mom and dad Maverick. We are sure glad they are better. I know they are glad to give you a bath but we cats don’t like the water. Better you than me. Sorry. My parents have enjoyed the stories and the pictures. Stay safe and watch out for those big things mom showed me in the movie. ( mom told me what it was called) . We’ll time to get back to dads lap.
