Dear Ruth the Van,
Lots of stuff seems to be happening in town this weekend, mom said it’s the start of summer, and everyone is excited. She walked around yesterday afternoon and heard some bands playing at the craft fair in town. All of the food trucks are out, and there was even a softball tournament going on this weekend.
The shoe Northern Exposure was based on Talkeetna, and mom was really excited to see the house with the local radio station in it, she said it reminded her of the show!

It was so crowded, the Roadhouse restaurant was all all sold out of cinnamon rolls, so she went back this morning to get a couple, I don’t think she’s going to share with me, but man they smell delicious.
She said early morning in town was empty and really nice. She walked down to the river and got to sit there for a bit. I think we are going to start going there on Sunday mornings.

Dads been getting some flying in while we have been out exploring. He’s finished almost finished his glacier landing training, and is getting to meet lots of new people. He has a pretty cool “office” view.

It’s been rainy here some, so when dad can’t fly, we go hang out with him and keep him company at work. Getting to see me is the best part of his day.
Cheers!
Mav
