Friends, Flowers, and an Avalanche

Our first Chattanooga visitor – Don Tawzer

Dear Ruth the Van,

A friend of Mom and Dads visited from Chattanooga last week. The weather has been crappy, so dad said they didn’t get to fly, but he did get to see all the airplanes hanging out on the runway. He even had lunch with them in town, for some reason I didn’t get to go…..

We saw a baby moose on the way home last week. Mom was WAY excited, but I don’t know what all the fuss is about. It’s just a really big, weird, dog, and she never gets that excited about seeing me.

Our neighbor gave mom some rhubarb, and she made something to put in a drink with it. Dad thinks it’s gross, and I’m with him. I am interested in the strawberries she’s growing, I wonder if she will share with me.

Avalanche

Dad said he’s landing on glaciers some, it sounds super cold, and a little bumpy. Getting to land people on glaciers is a big deal, but we all know he’s an awesome pilot. He got to see an avalanche yesterday. I wonder if he will take me on a glacier landing…I miss the snow.

Stay cool,

Maverick

  1. Wow this is an awesome blog today. Love the video. Don sent me the family picture and told your dad and I we should visit our kids more. They are only 5 thousand miles away. We love you all and miss you. Mom

  2. Great trip and visit. So happy we were able to enjoy lunch and visit. Ab, I did the Talkeetna museum visit. Was an unbelievable journey into the past. I can’t imagine the hardship those early settlers endured. Prayers for your adventure. Btw, Tom, you still owe me a glacier landing!
