Neighbors, Kilts, and Passes

Hatcher Pass

Dear Ruth the Van,

Almost every morning when I go on my daily walk, I get to see my neighbor dog, Isabelle. She’s the same age as me, and we love to run around and tell each other what we have been smelling around the neighborhood. Isabelle’s mom and dad are really nice too. They send me toys, and give me pets, and are really nice to mom and dad. They even invited mom and dad over for dinner this week to meet the other neighbors. I didn’t get to go, but they brought me back some toys.

We went to the Alaska Scottish Highland Games too. It was only an hour away, and mom and dad said it was fun. Sounds like it was just people in skirts throwing heavy things around.

We drove home the long way, over Hatcher Pass, and it was really pretty. The road just opened all the way through for the summer. Mom and dad said there are a lot of good campsites on the road, I think we will be back soon.

Denali

We got to see Denali on our walk this morning. It’s always a good day when the mountain is out.

Cheers!

Maverick

  1. I read this to Ava because she spent the night. When I said you were driving home she thought I meant here. She got excited. It looks like Alaska is coming to life. Enjoy Austin and family. We love you bunches. Mom and DadPS So glad you have neighbors
